TOBU JAPAN – 10-Year Limited Warranty
TOBU JAPAN proudly stands behind the quality and craftsmanship of its luggage and travel accessories. All TOBU JAPAN hard-side and soft-side luggage products are covered by a 10-year limited warranty from the date of the original retail purchase.
This warranty guarantees that your product is free from manufacturing defects in materials and workmanship under normal, intended use during the warranty period.
If a covered defect is confirmed, TOBU JAPAN will, at its sole discretion, repair or replace the product with the same or an equivalent model.
What Is Covered
This warranty covers defects related to:
- Shell or fabric failure caused by manufacturing defects
- Zippers, handles, wheels, locks, and structural components that fail under normal use
- Hardware defects due to faulty materials or workmanship
Proof of purchase is required for all warranty claims.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Damage caused by airlines, transportation carriers, or baggage handling services
- Accidental damage, misuse, abuse, or improper care
- Normal wear and tear (including scratches, scuffs, dents, discoloration, and fabric wear)
- Damage caused by overloading, impact, or improper storage
- Water damage (unless the product is specifically labeled as waterproof)
- Cosmetic damage that does not affect product function
- Unauthorized repairs, modifications, or alterations
- Loss, theft, or consequential or incidental damages
If your luggage is damaged by an airline or carrier, you must file a claim directly with the carrier immediately. Most airlines will not accept claims after 24–48 hours.
Shipping Costs
Customers are responsible for:
- Shipping the product to TOBU JAPAN for inspection
- Return shipping after service (unless otherwise stated)
Shipping fees are not covered by this warranty.
